Temporary Permissions Regime deadline extension

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)  intends to extend the notification window for the Temporary Permissions Regime (TPR) until 11 April 2019. The current deadline for notification for firms and funds who wish to enter into the TPR is 28 March 2019. However, the European Council and the UK Government have decided on a short delay to the process of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. As previously explained, the TPR will allow certain firms and funds which passport into the UK to carry on functioning in the UK even if the passporting regime disappears suddenly when the UK exits the EU.
