The FCA has updated its Preparing your firm for Brexit webpage

With more information being released about what Brexit will mean for financial services, firms must ensure that they understand the various implications and plan accordingly. The FCA has updated its Preparing your firm for Brexit webpage providing details for both UK firms and EEA firms conducting business in the UK to include the following:
  • temporary permissions regime;
  • financial services contracts regime;
  • issues to be aware of;
  • the FCA’s temporary transitional power; and
  • suggestions for Brexit planning (e.g. Data sharing)
In addition, the FCA has created new webpages with more specific information for:
  • general insurers and intermediaries in the UK (click here);
  • life insurers in the UK about pensions and retirement income (click here);
  • participants in the wholesale markets operating in the UK (including wholesale banks, wholesale markets and asset managers) (click here);
  • retail investment firms in the UK (click here); and
  • banking and payment sectors in the UK (click here).
