Timeline for Authorisation & Implementation of Irish Domiciled Fund

As UK-based asset managers prepare for a hard BREXIT, there is limited time left to consider options and importantly, do so within a timeframe that will ensure legal agreements and operating models have been completed ahead of obtaining the relevant regulatory approvals.   The current UK/EU negotiating timelines are:  

• Agreement on the legal text by Autumn 2018
• UK parliamentary vote soon after
• EU ratification in February 2019, ahead of the UK’s exit on 29 March 2019
